Continuing on from our 2 day cruise we leave our overnight mooring at East Marton and pass through more open scenery soon arriving at the three picturesque Greenberfield locks which raise us a further 29 feet to the summit level of the canal (487 feet above sea level).

We skirt around the town of Barnoldswick with a stop at a canalware shop and after a further hour or so, once again through delightful rural landscape, we arrive at the northern portal of the 1 mile long tunnel.

We pass through the tunnel and begin our return journey
