Depart Skipton - approx 09:30 hrs - close to the town and old canal buildings, Springs Branch junction, - 2 wing bridges and we are soon out of the built up area and heading for the Aire valley with open views of the Dales countryside – three further swing bridges before the first of the three locks lifting us to the centre of Gargrave village (approx 13:00 hrs) where we stop for lunch on board or at local hostelry, return to Skipton approx 17:30hrs.
